BMC British Automobile has been helping owners of classic British sports cars since 2000. We specialize in restoration, service, parts sourcing, and performance upgrades for MG, Triumph, Austin-Healey, Jaguar, and other iconic British marques. We’re a small, tight-knit team of passionate enthusiasts who genuinely enjoy what we do and enjoy working together. Our shop has a Truely-Friendly, supportive atmosphere where everyone pitches in and looks out for one another.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a reliable, organized, and team-oriented person to join our crew full-time. Your primary role will be supporting the parts side of the business—making sure our mechanics have the right parts when they need them and keeping our inventory accurate and up-to-date. When things are quieter, you’ll help with light marketing tasks such as social media and our newsletter.

This is not a high-pressure sales or high-tech marketing role. It’s a practical, hands-on position in a busy classic car shop where you’ll work closely with a great group of people who value reliability, a positive attitude, and willingness to learn.

Although we are searching for a 40 hour per week commitment, this is negotiable. The start time and days are also negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate and pull parts for mechanics and customer vehicles as needed
  • Create purchase orders based on the shop’s and mechanics’ requirements
  • Receive incoming parts, check them against purchase orders, and update inventory records
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and help keep the parts area organized
  • In your free time (or as assigned): assist with social media posts, contribute to our monthly newsletter, and help with other small administrative or marketing tasks around the shop

What We’re Looking For

We don’t need a superstar with years of experience or advanced software skills. We’re looking for someone who:

  • Types accurately and is comfortable using basic computer programs (we’ll train you on our specific software system)
  • Is organized, detail-oriented, and can keep track of multiple small tasks
  • Works well with others and has a positive, can-do attitude
  • Is reliable and shows up ready to help the team every day
  • Is comfortable working in a shop environment (some light lifting of small parts will be required)

Previous automotive or parts experience is a plus, but not required. A genuine interest in classic cars is helpful but not necessary—we’ll teach you what you need to know about our British marques and our Bespoke materials.
